Updating your Address on your IMMI Account

Once you have an ImmiAccount you will need to gain access to your Visa Application by ‘Importing’ your application into your account. To import your application select ‘Import Application’ from the ImmiAccount home screen:

NOTE: You will need to know your Transaction Reference Number (TRN) for your application which looks like this: EGOXXXXXXX and also your passport details (Full Name and Date of Birth) for the other fields. Your TRN should be visible on your visa grant and on the acknowledgement letter you received when you lodged the application.

Once imported you should be able to view your application from the home screen. Select ‘View Details’ to open your application information.

Once you are viewing your application you can then go to ‘Update Details’ in the left-hand menu:

For each applicant (Primary and Secondary Applicants) you will need to enter the new address details in the fields provided. Once entered, select ‘Submit Form’.

Queensland Civil Partnership Registration is done through Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages.

Please note that registering a relationship with Births, Deaths and Marriages has a similar legal affect to marriage, and you should get independent legal advice about registering a relationship. A link to their website with further information can be found here.

The process of registering your civil partnership is free, however there is a cost for the issuance of a civil partnership certificate which is required by the department. The registry does not automatically issue a certificate, you must apply and pay for one separately (can be requested at the time of registration). Currently the fee for a Standard Civil Partnership Certificate is $54.40 (as of July ’24). There is also an urgent application fee of $32.20 which may be applicable in some cases.

You can apply for your Civil Partnership Certificate either by post or in person. If you need your certificate urgently it is best to apply in person to avoid delays.

The process for registering your civil partnership:

1. Complete the online registration form here
2. Choose how you want to pay for your certificate.
3. Review your details on the application form once completed. You will then be sent an email with details on how to finalise your application.
4. Download and print the form and collect copies of your proof of ID and supporting documents along with the originals ready to get them certified.
5. Have all documents witness and certified by a JP
6. Post in your application and proof of payment OR go in person to submit and pay for your certificate (see below for further details).

Registering in Person (Urgent Application):

1. Your application can be lodged at the Brisbane registry customer service centre at Level 32, 180 Ann Street, Brisbane, you will need to use their self-serve kiosk. If you ordered and paid online bring your order receipt number. You will also need to show your original proof of ID and other supporting documents (if needed).
2. If you live outside the Brisbane city area, bring your order receipt number (if you paid online) or a completed application form with your proof of ID and other supporting documents (if needed) to one of the agents at a Queensland Magistrates Court or Queensland Government Agent Program (QGAP) office (except the Brisbane Magistrates Court). Best to phone ahead to ensure you do not need an appointment and double check you have all necessary paperwork prepared to bring with you.
3. If only one of you can make it to the Magistrates Office, then you will need to take the forms, proof of ID and supporting documents (copies and originals) to a JP (Justice of the Peace) who can complete the necessary statutory declaration and witness all the documents with you both. Alternatively, if you can both make it to the office you can take the originals with you straight to the Magistrates Office without seeing a JP first.
4. When presenting your paperwork to the attendant at the Magistrates Office, ensure that you request a Standard Partnership Certificate and pay the fee (currently $54.40) if you haven’t prepaid online.
5. Once payment is made you should receive a receipt. You can use this receipt to submit with your application while you await the certificate to come in the mail.

Mailing your Application Form (Non-Urgent Application):

1. Once you have all certified copies and witnessed paperwork together, visit the link here: certificate order form. Complete the order form (when it asks Is your civil partnership registered in Queensland? select YES) and make payment for the relationship certificate via the online payment portal.
2. Print the proof of payment and attach to your application.

SOLICITUD EN LÍNEA DE APOSTILLA – LEGALIZACIÓN ANTECEDENTES JUDICIALES

Para iniciar con el registro de su solicitud puede usar los siguientes enlaces:

Si seleciona la primera opcion de la página del Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores realice los siguientes pasos:

1. En el menú superior seleccione “Trámites y Servicios”, de la lista de trámites desplegados haga clic sobre “Apostilla o legalización em Línea”.

2. El sistema lo direccionará a la sección en donde se encuentra toda la información referente a los trámites de Apostilla y Legalización. En el menú en la parte superior de opciones encontrara un enlace seleccionelo “Haga su Apostilla o Legalización desde casa u oficina”

3. El sistema le presentara el formulario para crear la solicitud, de la lista “Tipo de documento / Entidad” Seleccione “CERTIFICADO DE ANTECEDENTES JUDICIALES” y haga clic en el botón “Continuar”

4. Diligencie la 1 parte del formato Datos Personales donde se indica el número de cédula del solicitante y correo electronico si tiene no es obligatorio solo para recibir notificaciones del trámite y haga clic en el botón “Continuar”.

5. En la segunda parte se Confirman los fines del Documento se requiere este para fines Migratorios y que pueda ser consultado y validado en el Exterior debe marcar “SI”. Luego haga clic en el botón “Continuar”.

6. El sistema le presentará un formulario con los nombres y apellidos correspondientes a la cédula ingresada y el tipo de documento que se esta tramitando  de acuerdo con la informacion registrada en la base de datos de la Policía Nacional. Verifique que estos sean correctos y haga clic en el botón “Continuar”.

7. Luego en la lista “Datos de documento” Seleccione el pais ante el cual presentará el documento y haga clic en el botón “Continuar”.

a. En Linea: Encontrara dos opciones Tarjeta de Credito (Recuerde que solo se admiten las franquicias Visa y Mastercard) o PSE.

i. Tarjeta de credito: Lo enviara a una nueva ventana donde se deben diligenciar los datos del titular de la tarjeta nombre completo, numero de cédula, telefono y correo, una vez diligenciado los espacios requeridos haga clic en el botón “Continuar”.

iii. Genera una nueva pantalla con el formato de recaudo Credibanco con la informacion de la Referencia de Pago que son los datos del solicitante, datos de facturación se diligencian los espacios señalados con la informacion del que realiza el pago y haga clic en el botón “Paga Aquí”.

iv. Para finalizar el pago se diligencia el comprobante con los datos de la Tarjeta de Credito y haga clic en el botón “Pagar”.

1. PSE: Lo direcciona a completar um formato de la persona que realizara el pago. En caso de ser el titular quien realiza el pago, los espacios se completan automaticamente; Si es otra persona quien realiza el pago debe completar la informacion solicitada y haga clic en el botón  “Continuar”.

ii. El sistema le presentará la información con el número de solicitud; por favor conserve este número de referencia en caso de necesitar consultar y haga clic em cerrar.

iii. El sistema lo envia para seleccionar el banco de donde realizara el pago y haga clic em “PSE” lo direccionará a la plataforma de pago electrónico PSE.

9. Recibira un correo de confirmacion de acuerdo a la solicitude de pago.

Other than a family sponsor or investment visa. There are five types of visas that typically lead to permanent residency, some directly and others with a built-in path:

Four of these five visa types of visas require a skills assessment, though some exceptions apply. Most skills assessments require relevant work experience, but there are exceptions for professions like nurses, pharmacists, engineers, and social workers. Importantly, work experience for skills assessments doesn’t necessarily need to be obtained in Australia. (Some exceptions apply)!!!

*** Example ***

1. Our client studied hotel management in Colombia and worked as restaurant manager in Colombia.
2. In Australia she studied VET level childcare.
3. We used her overseas experience to get a skills assessment as a restaurant manager and secured her a skilled cisa in this occupation, even though it was unrelated to her studies in Australia.

*** The Catch ***

For a skills assessment you always need at least one year of work experience in the last five years. Sometimes, you may need more than one year or at least one year of experience in the last three years. If you have overseas work experience and have been in Australia for some time, you may need to get a skills assessment as soon as possible. Skills assessments are typically valid for three years, sometimes less.

Most skills assessments do not need English language test scores, so don’t delay getting your skills assessed. Once your experience is three or five years old, it may be too late.
