Invitations For Some Occupations On Hold Until July

For the 189 independent skilled migration program there are limits on how many people for each occupation will be invited to apply for permanent residency. The limits reset each year on July 1. Occupations group Computer Network Professionals (2631) and Other Engineering Professionals (2339) have reached their ceiling value for this programme year 2016-1017.

You will not be invited to apply for Skilled Independent visa Subclass 189 before 1 July 2017 if your occupation is one of the following:
